Iron Infusions
When iron deficiency has been diagnosed, oral iron—such as tablets or liquid supplements—is usually trialled first.
However, some patients do not respond well to oral iron or are unable to tolerate it due to side effects.
In cases where iron levels do not improve, the GPs at our practice can provide iron infusions (private fee applies). This option allows iron to be delivered directly into the bloodstream and can help restore levels more effectively for certain patients.
If you are experiencing regular tiredness, fatigue, low energy, or other symptoms that concern you, we encourage you to book an appointment with one of our GPs. They can arrange blood tests to check your iron levels and discuss the treatment options most suitable for your needs.
